A concept visualised by the renowned Fr.Bobby Jose Kattikad,Anjappam as a social collective effort aims to mitigate this social injustice by offering the marginalised sections with economic access to food.Founded in 2018,Anjappam serves food for the starving and needy. Anjappam economical restaurant,during the day act as places where good,healthy vegeterian meals are available and in the evenings are converted into reading spaces,with libraries. Every visitor shall be welcomed regardless of race, sex, age, colour,state of origin,religious preference disability.
Our focus is in ensuring access to food for all.Hence, instead of a billing counter,there is only a contribution box where patrons are free to offer what they can & if they can, after a meal.We believe that empowerment starts with access to basic human rights.
